The same route every week.Nobody creates it again.
A recurring order is a series: the automation generates the orders in advance, seeks fixed drivers, and only speaks up when something fails.
Routine that makes work every week.
The tour has been the same for months, and still it is created, dispatched and confirmed anew every week. When the regular driver is out, the phone chain starts, on an order whose course everyone has long known.

Defined once, runs by itself.
The series knows rhythm, route and freight. From it the orders come into being on their own, with lead time, and each of them seeks the same driver first.
Every one of these paths has the priority switch: it moves the order up in dispatch and enters the price as a factor. A service level, not a separate order type.
What this service is not.
The recurring order automates creation and dispatch, not responsibility. If the freight changes, the check changes: a series that suddenly contains dangerous goods does not quietly keep running, it stops at the check like any other order.

Questions about recurring orders
What happens when the fixed driver is out?
The order does not fall through; it goes into normal dispatch to other qualified partners. You see the event as a report, not as a gap in the morning.
Can I pause or change a series?
Yes. The series can be paused, moved or adjusted. Orders already generated remain individually editable; future ones follow the new definition.
How is a recurring order billed?
Every run creates its line item with the proof of delivery, like any order. On the invoice, the period's items come together: one invoice, not one per run.
