The cold chain does not breakbecause nobody looked.
The check distinguishes four kinds of medicinal shipment — general, temperature-controlled, controlled substances and ADR-regulated. Each brings its own duties.
The routine you know.
The order goes out, the driver arrives, and only at the door does it show whether the vehicle was temperature-controlled, whether the driver was allowed to take the handover, and whether the paperwork came along. What is missing surfaces when it is too late — and the record of it is written from memory in the evening.

How a shipment travels.
Every order passes six stations. Marked are the ones where this trade has rules of its own.
- Created
Drug type, temperature and special provision are mandatory fields. Without them no order exists — not as a warning, but as an empty field that holds the next button.
- Checked
The temperature zone decides which vehicle qualifies. ADR-regulated medication additionally requires the transport document with UN number, quantity and packing group. Both are checked before the order leaves the building.
- Assigned
Only those with the records see the request. A partner without a valid GDP certificate is not shown it — they do not decline, they are not asked.
- In transit
The tour guides stop by stop in the calculated order. The app keeps working without signal, because everything is on the device.
- Delivered
Handover against proof: photo and signature attach to the order before the driver moves on. For controlled substances the recipient's name belongs to it.
- Settled
The settlement line is created with the proof. Nobody releases it, and nobody sorts paper in the evening.
What has to be on file
Records live once in the organisation, not in every order. When one expires, the block applies before the next assignment.
What Beelog does not do.
Beelog does not measure. Whether the vehicle actually held the temperature is what the data logger says, not the platform. What the system does is the check before and the record after: that only suitable vehicles and qualified partners are asked, and that afterwards it is traceable who took what, and when. Pharmaceutical responsibility stays with you.
Common questions about pharmaceutical transport
Does Beelog verify the cold chain?
No, measuring happens in the vehicle. Beelog makes sure the shipment is recorded with its temperature requirement and that only vehicles built for it qualify. The recording itself comes from the data logger.
What is different about controlled substances?
The shipment is classified as a controlled substance and requires the corresponding authorisation plus a documented handover by name. The legal basis is stated on the finding, for your responsible staff to check.
When is a medicine a dangerous good?
When it falls under ADR, for example flammable solutions. UN number, quantity and packing group then become mandatory, and the co-loading check applies as it does to any other dangerous good.
Is a photo enough as proof?
Photo and signature are captured at the recipient and attach to the order. Whether that satisfies your documentation duty is for your quality management to decide — the platform supplies the record, not the judgement.
